I like up-cycling! There it\u2019s out there .. I\u2019m a creator \u2026 not of content but of stuff. I\u2019ve got a massive set of hardwood drawers that are filled with paints, bits of this and that, glue guns, ribbons.. you name it, it\u2019ll be in there. On cold winter nights, I\u2019ll be sat doing something crafty. On hot Summer days, I\u2019ll be outside in the garden, spraying another piece of furniture. My current passion are lampshades – vintage ones, that I paint, in all colours peacock. I\u2019ve got quite a collection now, and on Saturday – some of them will be going to my unit at Dagfields to be put out for sale, a pride of lampshades – peacocks come in a pride don\u2019t they? Greens, purples and blues, I\u2019ve been funking them up for weeks, if not months. I love the process of knowing each one is absolutely unique and individual! My garden table is now a mosaic of peacock colours from all my creativity. It\u2019s an art form in itself, truth be told! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do you create? Do you get that sense of pride when you make something from scratch, or change something. So that it becomes an extension of you. It\u2019s therapeutic, and it\u2019s calming, and it\u2019s a process. Sometimes, you need patience – literally watching paint dry \u2026 I\u2019m waiting now .. I might jazz one up a little more with some edging, then again I might not. That\u2019s the beauty of crafting, only you get to decide 🦚<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
